Our Technology

CBCT

At Riverside Endodontics, we are committed to providing the highest standard of care for our patients. To achieve this, we utilize cutting-edge technology, including Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), to enhance the precision of diagnosis and effectiveness of our endodontic procedures.

What is CBCT?

Cone Beam Computed Tomography, or CBCT for short, is a state-of-the-art imaging technology that revolutionizes the way we view and diagnose dental conditions. It is especially valuable in endodontics, where precise visualization of tooth anatomy and surrounding structures is crucial.

  • Unparalleled Detail: CBCT provides 3D images with exceptional detail as compared to traditional dental x rays which are in 2 dimensions with significant superimposition and distortion of dental structures.. This allows us to see the internal structure of teeth, root canals, and surrounding bone with remarkable clarity.
  • Accurate Diagnosis: With CBCT, we can identify the exact location and extent of infections, fractures, and other dental issues, leading to more accurate diagnoses.
  • Improved Treatment Planning: CBCT enables us to plan endodontic treatments with precision. We can visualize the number of canals, their shape, and any anomalies before the procedure, ensuring a more successful outcome.  We can also anticipate complications that might alter recommended treatment.
  • Reduced Radiation Exposure: Despite its advanced capabilities, CBCT emits significantly lower radiation compared to traditional medical CT scans, making it a safer option for our patients.

How Does CBCT Work?

CBCT technology captures a series of X-ray images from various angles, which are then reconstructed into a 3D image of the scanned area. This detailed 3D rendering provides an in-depth view of the oral and maxillofacial structures, allowing us to make well-informed decisions about your endodontic care.

Our Microscope Technology

Precision Endodontics with Cutting-Edge Microscopy

To achieve the highest quality endodontic care at Riverside Endodontics, we also utilize advanced microscopy technology to enhance precision and accuracy in our treatments.

Why Microscopes in Endodontics?

Endodontics demands a level of precision that is second to none. Microscopes have become an invaluable tool in our practice for several reasons:

  • Enhanced Visualization: Microscopes provide an unprecedented level of magnification and illumination. This allows us to see intricate details inside the tooth, such as tiny canals and cracks, which may not be visible with the naked eye or standard dental loupes.
  • Accurate Diagnosis: With the enhanced clarity and magnification offered by microscopes, we can accurately diagnose complex issues within your teeth. This precision ensures that we identify the source of your dental problem with confidence.
  • Precise Treatment: During endodontic procedures like root canal therapy, microscopes enable us to work with incredible precision. We can navigate the intricate canal systems of your teeth more effectively, resulting in more successful outcomes.
  • Minimized Invasiveness: Microscopic dentistry allows us to be minimally invasive. This means less removal of healthy tooth structure, reduced discomfort, and faster recovery times for our patients.
